Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information YotPlace LLC ("we") collects when you use YotPlace, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account details: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
Your activity on YotPlace: boats you save, searches you save and their alert settings, and inquiries you send.
Inquiries: when you contact a Broker, we store your message and contact details and share them with that Broker so they can reply.
Broker and brokerage information: business details, licence numbers, team members, listings and the boat owner contact details Brokers choose to store for owner reports.
Usage and device data: pages viewed, listing views, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type and similar technical data, used to run, secure and improve the Service. Our website analytics do not use cookies to track you across sites.

How we use information

to provide the Service: accounts, search, saved boats, alerts and messaging with Brokers;
to send emails you've asked for, such as saved-search alerts (you can turn these off at any time from the email or your account) and account messages;
to give Brokers aggregated performance statistics about their listings (for example, number of views and saves; never your identity unless you contact them);
to keep the Service safe, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms;
to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Brokers, when you send them an inquiry.
Service providers that host and operate the Service for us, such as cloud hosting and storage (Amazon Web Services), email delivery, error monitoring and AI services used to help Brokers draft listing descriptions (which receive listing details, not buyer information). They may only use information to provide services to us.
Authorities, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
A successor, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Your choices and rights

You can update your account details, change alert frequency or unsubscribe from alerts, and delete your account from your account page. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information. Retention

We keep account information while your account is open. Inquiries are retained so Brokers can manage their customer relationships; when you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your information unless we need to keep it for legal or security reasons.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and audit logging of staff access. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18.
